Twanine Nisha and Ursula Lake invite you to spend a week with them this September furthering your yoga practice, eating delicious vegan food and recharging your batteries and relaxing in the luxury of a peaceful and historic private home in the beautiful Catalonian hills.
Your home for the week is a beautiful ‘torre’ meaning house or tower. Built in 1735 as the summer home of the Barons of the nearby town of Ribelles, the house was recently completely renovated with modern amenities and each light and spacious bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. The house has a large private pool and plenty of outdoor space for relaxation and is surrounded by cornfields and woodlands. There is a large, light room for our yoga practice and plenty of walking/running routes nearby. There is even a games room if you fancy shooting pool or playing table football!
Twanine Nisha is fully qualified and experienced teacher, trained in Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. The retreats classes will be tailored to accommodate your individual yoga ability and practice.
The morning class will be in the Vinyasa flow style aiming to energise you for the day ahead. The evening class will be centered around meditation and yin yoga to encourage flexibility, relax and calm the mind and ultimately help you prepare you for a restful sleep.
Rest assured, this retreat is not about deprivation or fasting! We promise you won’t go hungry. Ursula is a trained naturopathic vegan chef, qualified at the London College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is passionate about all aspects of a healthy lifestyle but is particularly interested in the connection between the gut and the mind. She aims to provide you with delicious, nutrient dense food that will taste indulgent but be kind to your body, nurture your gut biomes and importantly, fuel your yoga practice. All the food is vegan and predominately gluten free.
Your typical day on retreat will consist of a three-course brunch after your morning yoga and a three-course dinner after your afternoon activity, with access to healthy snacks, herbal teas and fruit in between meals. We encourage you to treat your body to a rest from alcohol and it will not be served with meals, but if you wish to drink wine with supper you are welcome to bring some with you.

Complimentary 20 minute taster massage (that you can upgrade to longer if you wish and at your own expense: for example additional 40 minutes would cost a further 35 euros.)
Swimming pool & sun lounges
A welcome care pack for each guest (fluoride free toothpaste and other environmentally sound and natural toiletries etc.)
Free mini bus transportation to and from Barcelona airport to meet a specific flight.
There are six en-suite bedrooms available for either single occupancy or if you wish to share with a partner or friend. There will be a maximum of 12 adult guests at the house ensure that each guest receives individual attention and has the privacy to relax completely in this beautiful environment.

Airport Info: We recommend the following flights from London Gatwick to Barcelona, as there will be a complimentary mini bus to transport guests traveling on these flights.

Should you wish to take a different flight we can organise a taxi (at your own expense) from and to Barcelona airport. You might also wish to get an earlier flight and wait for the connecting minibus.
Car hire is readily available from the airport and there is plenty of parking at the house, which is about a 90-minute drive from the airport.
Massage Info: If you would like any additional massages, you can book an hour-long private treatment. This can be arranged with the masseuse at a cost of 55 Euros, payable in cash only.
Although there is wifi available at the retreat, we do encourage you to take the time to switch off, enjoy a digital detox and try to forget about work etc for the week that you are here.
What do I need to bring
A yoga mat and suitable clothing for your often twice-daily yoga practice. NB We are aiming to run a sustainable retreat so there will be laundry facilities on site but we will try to keep this to a minimum.
Some layers of clothing, we anticipate the weather to be warm and sunny in the day but the temperature will dip in the evening so it would be good to have some warmer layers. Average temperatures are between 20-26 degrees in September. Dinners will be a relaxed affair so there is no need to dress up, unless of course you want to!

From the 15th July the price will be £1380 for single occupancy room and £1072,50 per person for a shared twin room.
Once you have paid your deposit and reserved your spot, we will send you a short questionnaire to complete to inform Ursula of any dietary requirements like allergies or intolerances, as well as any injuries Twanine needs to be aware of for your yoga practice.
Twanine fell in love with yoga over 10 years ago because she loved the connection of movement through her body. The more she practised yoga, the more she felt the deeper connection it created between her mind, body and soul.
In 2016, Twanine decided to take her practice to the next level and completed her 200 hours in Baptise Power Yoga. Upon qualifying, Twanine fell in love with yoga even more because of the healing power it brings to all alike. She has since then furthered her training in Pre-natal and Yin Yoga.
Twanine’s classes will allow you to feel what needs to be felt, but not to let it consume you. Her teachings speak to the acceptance of where you are in that moment; physically, mentally and emotionally, and then to it let go. And she loves to end her classes in a beautiful long savasana!
Ursula Lake has always been a foodie but not always a conventional one! Her favourite meal as a small child was a salad so it was no surprise to her family when she became a vegetarian at the age of 16 and a vegan 6 years ago.
Her training at the London College of Naturopathic Medicine really solidified her interest and belief in the healing nature of food. She is passionate about creating food that supports your body's daily functions to ward off future illness and help to combat stress and fatigue through diet.
Each meal on the retreat will be carefully considered to give you slow release energy for your practice, support your natural detoxification and digestive processes and to work in harmony with your endocrine system by packing each dish with herbs, super-foods and most of all, flavour!
